The Students Welcome Desk

The Students Welcome Desk supports international students with their administrative procedures related to residence permits via a multilingual hotline open for 2025 from August 25 to December 19, Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., to answer all questions: +33 (0)4 37 37 43 00.

Outside of this period, international students wishing to request assistance with administrative procedures (visas, residence permits, etc.) should contact their university first.

New tool against student precariousness

In addition to housing assistance and student benefits, you can also apply for financial assistance for your studies, depending on your circumstances.

 

Social assistance

Scholarships, housing, CVEC, social services, emergency financial aid requests, and any other general inquiries will be handled via this single number: 09.72.59.65.65.
This number, open Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., costs the same as a local call, and is not subject to a surcharge. An advisor will provide you with information on the support or assistance available to you and how to apply for it from your CROUS.

Psychological support

  • Nightline is a free night time  listening service for students in Lyon, available  every day  from 8:30 p.m. to 2:30 a.m. at 04 85 30 00 10 and 04 85 30 00 20 in English  from  Thursday to Monday. All conversations are anonymous  and  confidential.
  • Le 102, The  University of Lyon Health Center, dedicated to mental health, is located at 102 rue de Marseille, Lyon 7th arrondissement. It features a multidisciplinary  medical  team  consisting of general  practitioners, a nurse, a psychologist, and a psychiatrist. Appointments  can be made online at masante.universite-lyon.fr or by phone at 04 82 91 02 20.
